How Do Chelsea’s Ticket Prices Compare to the Rest of the Premier League?

The new season. New head coach. New players. Stamford Bridge looking resplendent. Anticipation at its peak. What will 2026/27 hold for Chelsea? Only time will tell, but with Xabi Alonso on board, a new tactical outlook and the ditching of the previous under-25s only transfer strategy, perhaps Blues fans can dare to dream once more.

The club has also taken the important decision to freeze season ticket prices from the 2025/26 campaign. The price of general admission tickets has also been frozen, while the threat of the dreaded ballot system has also been put on the backburner – possibly temporarily, hopefully for good. How do Chelsea’s ticket prices now stack up compared to the rest of the Premier League?

With the price of their season tickets frozen, Chelsea remain the second-most expensive team to follow in the Premier League. The average season ticket at Stamford Bridge, which falls under the category of adult, non-concession and in a non-family enclosure, is £880.

How Does Chelsea Compare?

Only Arsenal charge more, with an average season ticket to follow the champions at the Emirates Stadium to set you back an eye-watering £1,171.

  • #1 – Arsenal (£1,171)
  • #2 – Chelsea (£880)
  • #3 – Tottenham (£856)
  • #4 – Everton (£770)
  • #5 – Liverpool (£734)

As Tottenham and Everton fans can attest, having an expensive season ticket certainly doesn’t automatically mean success, entertainment or value for money…

Varies by Seat Choice

Although it will cost you an average of £880 to watch every home game of Chelsea’s campaign, the actual price varies depending on where you are located in the ground. The cheapest season ticket, which would place you in the Lower North Family Centre of the East Stand, costs £700.

At the other end of the spectrum, the most expensive season ticket at Chelsea will see you handed a seat in the Upper section of the East Stand… at a cost of £1,095. Although a princely sum, Chelsea’s is far from the most expensive season ticket on the market. In fact, as many as seven Premier League clubs have a season ticket that is even more costly at the top end.

The Most Expensive Season Tickets

The most expensive season ticket in the Premier League can be found at a rather unexpected source:

  • #1 – Fulham (£3,084)
  • #2 – Tottenham (£2,223)
  • #3 – Arsenal (£2,196)
  • #4 – Man City (£1,600)
  • #5 – Newcastle United (£1,404)
  • #6 – Aston Villa (£1,297)
  • #7 – Man Utd (£1,109)

The Cheapest Season Tickets

We should take a moment to point out the cheapest Premier League season tickets as well. Using average price as our metric, it’s hats off to Hull City (£396), Manchester City (£425) and Ipswich Town (£466) as the most affordable teams to follow.

How Much Has It Increased?

The general vibe is that, once again, Premier League football fans are being ripped off. The average cost of a season ticket has risen by 16% for the 2026/27 season, which is roughly six times the current rate of inflation. Of the non-promoted teams, Sunderland (+12.2%) are the worst culprits having brought European football to the Stadium of Light.

It’s not always easy to compare the price of general admission tickets for a single game, as each club has different price tiers – and, of course, will vary the cost based upon which stand you are seated in. At Chelsea in 2026/27, the span will range from £27 (Matthew Harding Stand Lower, restricted view) to £78 (East Upper) for a Category AA game. For a Category B match, the price range is £27 to £61.

The cheapest Category B seat from which you have an unrestricted view can be found in the Shed Lower at £55. The highest individual ticket price in the Premier League is found at Arsenal, where for the best seat in the house at a top-tier game you’re looking at £168.

The cheapest individual tickets in the Premier League will cost £24. They can be found at Hull City and Newcastle United, although you’d better bring your binoculars for the latter seat up in the gods at St James’s Park.

How Do You Buy Chelsea Tickets?

It should be noted that for a number of Premier League games, Chelsea operates a loyalty points system – those points are typically accrued over the course of the previous season. Loyalty point holders generally get first dibs on tickets, which generally relates to those with season tickets or who are Chelsea members.

The Official Chelsea Website

Eventually, once the timeframes for the various loyalty points levels have elapsed, some tickets may be left over to go on general sale. The best place to buy tickets is the official Chelsea website… don’t be tempted by the reseller sites or random people on social media, as those platforms can lead to overinflated prices, fake tickets or even a combination of the two.
